SITUBONDO – Sejumlah Anggota Satsamapta Polres Situbondo melakukan penambalan jalan berlubang di Jalan Basuki Rahmad. Kegiatan tersebut dilakukan di sela-sela operasi.
Kasat Samapta Polres Situbondo, AKP Sudpendi mengatakan, penambalan jalan berlubang itu bentuk kepedulian polisi kepada masyarakat. Sebab, jalan berlubang di Situbondo terbilang cukup parah.
“Jalan berlubang di Situbondo menjadi salah satu penyebab kecelakaan lalu lintas. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini dilakukan sebagai bentuk kepedulian terhadap keselamatan pengguna jalan dan untuk mencegah kecelakaan akibat kondisi jalan yang rusak atau berlubang,” ujarnya, Rabu, 19 Februari 2025.
Dalam kegiatan itu, kata Sudpendi, polisi membawa peralatan sederhana seperti sekop dan aspal dingin untuk menutup lubang yang berpotensi membahayakan pengendara. Mereka juga memasang rambu peringatan agar proses penambalan tidak mengganggu arus lalu lintas.
Penambalan jalan berlubang, sambung dia, merupakan inisiatif petugas patroli yang melihat kondisi jalan rusak dan berlubang yang berpotensi membahayakan pengendara. Seperti menyebabkan jatuh atau kecelakaan lalu lintas.
“Kami menerima keluhan di media sosial banyak kejadian pengendara jatuh akibat jalan berlubang. Karena itu, selain berpatroli, kami juga berupaya memperbaiki jalan demi keselamatan bersama,” tegasnya.
Selain itu, polisi juga telah melakukan survey jalan dan memberi tanda jalan yang rusak serta berkoordinasi dengan dinas terkait untuk dilakukan perbaikan. “Harapannya jalan berlubang di sepanjang Jalur Pantura Situbondo ini sudah diperbaiki sebelum hari raya Idul Fitri,” pungkas Sudpendi.
