MALANG – Aparat Kepolisian Resor Malang Polda Jatim berhasil membongkar rumah produksi minyak goreng ilegal di Kecamatan Wajak, Kabupaten Malang.
Dua tersangka berhasil diamankan usai mengemas dan menjual minyak goreng curah dengan label merek Minyakita.
“Kedua tersangka telah memproduksi atau mengemas, mengedarkan, dan meniagakan Minyak Goreng curah yang dikemas dalam kemasan botol bertuliskan Minyak Goreng merek Minyakita,” Wakapolres Malang Kompol Imam Mustolih.
Pengungkapan kasus bermula saat pihak kepolisian melakukan pengecekan bahan pokok di sejumlah pasar tradisional di daerah Kabupaten Malang.
Dari hasil inspeksi mendadak tersebut, terungkap adanya kemasan botol minyak goreng polos dan minyak goreng merk ‘Minyak Kita yang tidak sesuai dengan keterangan tercantum pada kemasan.
Modus yang digunakan pelaku tersangka adalah membeli minyak goreng curah dengan harga Rp11.500 per liter kemudian dikemas ulang dan dijual hingga Rp14.500 setiap kemasan sehingga dapat meraup keuntungan kisaran Rp357 juta per bulan..
Para tersangka terjerat pasal berlapis terkait UU Perlindungan Konsumen, UU Industri, dan UU Perdagangan dengan ancaman hukuman pidana penjara maksimal 5 tahun dan denda 5 milyar rupiah.
Atas insiden tersebut, pihak kepolisian juga mengimbau kepada masyarakat agar melakukan pengecekan sebelum membeli produk yang akan dikonsumsi.
Pengecekan dapat dilakukan secara mudah dengan memasukkan kode register produk melalui laman resmi milik BPOM.
