KOTA PASURUAN – Satuan Reskrim Polres Pasuruan Kota berhasil meringkus dua tersangka perjudian online di sebuah gudang Kelurahan Ngemplakrejo, Kecamatan Panggungrejo.
Kedua tersangka, M (45) dan AR (46), menggunakan aplikasi OVO untuk melakukan deposit ke situs judi online.
Mereka memasang taruhan pada permainan slot dengan taruhan minimum Rp800 dan bisa mencapai 1000 kali spin.
“Setelah menekan tombol spin, hasil permainan langsung mempengaruhi saldo mereka,” jelas Kapolres Pasuruan Kota, AKBP Davis Busin Siswara, Kamis (31/10/2024).
Menang atau kalah, saldo mereka akan bertambah atau berkurang secara langsung.
Dari penggerebekan tersebut, polisi menyita barang bukti berupa dua handphone (Oppo A96 dan Oppo A77s), kartu ATM, dan uang tunai total lebih dari Rp10 juta.
Handphone tersebut berisi akun email, akun OVO, akun DANA, dan akun situs judi online.
Kedua tersangka dijerat dengan Pasal 45 Ayat (3) Jo. Pasal 27 Ayat (2) UU Nomor 11 Tahun 2008 tentang ITE yang diubah dengan UU Nomor 1 Tahun 2024, serta Pasal 303 KUHP.
Ancaman hukumannya cukup berat, yaitu penjara maksimal 10 tahun dan denda maksimal Rp10 miliar.
“Pengungkapan kasus ini menunjukkan keseriusan kami dalam menindaklanjuti praktik perjudian online yang meresahkan masyarakat di Kota Pasuruan,” tegas AKBP Davis.
Polres Pasuruan Kota mengajak masyarakat untuk aktif melaporkan aktivitas mencurigakan guna mendukung penegakan hukum dan keamanan.
