JEMBER – Karnaval di Desa Lampeji, Kecamatan Mumbulsari, Kabupaten Jember, berhasil mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat, khususnya bagi pedagang kecil.
Acara yang digelar meriah dalam rangka memperingati HUT ke-79 Republik Indonesia ini berhasil mendatangkan ribuan pengunjung.
Kepala Desa Lampeji, Ary Wahyudi, menyampaikan kebanggaannya atas kesuksesan karnaval ini.
“Karnaval ini tidak hanya hiburan, tetapi juga menggerakkan perekonomian lokal, terutama pedagang kecil maupun UMKM,” ujar Yudi, sapaan akrabnya.
Menurut data dari panitia, lebih dari 50 pedagang ikut serta dalam karnaval tersebut.
Produk-produk seperti makanan khas, kerajinan tangan, dan jajanan lainnya laris manis dibeli pengunjung.
Beberapa pedagang bahkan kehabisan stok barang, seperti penjual makanan olahan yang berjejer di rute karnaval.
Salah seorang pedagang Es Blander, Siti Rohmah, mengungkapkan bahwa karnaval ini membawa dampak positif bagi usahanya.
“Saya sangat bersyukur. Omzet saya naik dua kali lipat dibandingkan hari biasa,” katanya.
Tidak hanya penjual harian, warga sekitar juga merasakan dampak positif.
Banyak dari mereka yang membuka warung dadakan, menyediakan makanan dan minuman untuk pengunjung.
Hal ini turut menambah pendapatan harian mereka.
Kata Yudi, acara seperti ini akan terus diadakan secara rutin untuk mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi desa.
“Kami berharap ekonomi di Lampeji semakin tumbuh dengan adanya kegiatan seperti ini,” pungkas Yudi.
