JEMBER – Dunia pendidikan di Jember terancam terganggu setelah kebijakan pemerintah merumahkan guru honorer mulai berdampak di berbagai sekolah dasar negeri (SDN).
Kekurangan tenaga pendidik kini membuat guru PNS harus menangani banyak kelas sekaligus, yang berpotensi menurunkan kualitas pembelajaran.
Wakil Ketua Komisi D DPRD Jember, Achmad Rusdan, menilai kondisi ini sangat memprihatinkan dan bisa berdampak buruk jika tidak segera ditangani.
“Dengan minimnya jumlah guru PNS, jika guru honorer tidak lagi bekerja karena tidak ada gaji, maka sekolah-sekolah ini akan kesulitan dalam menjalankan kegiatan belajar-mengajar,” ujarnya.
Situasi ini semakin parah di sekolah-sekolah dengan banyak rombongan belajar (rombel).
Guru PNS yang harus mengajar lebih dari satu kelas terpaksa merangkap tugas, menyebabkan beban kerja meningkat drastis.
Rusdan menegaskan bahwa kebijakan ini harus dievaluasi segera sebelum merusak sistem pendidikan.
“Apakah ini bentuk efisiensi anggaran yang mengorbankan tenaga pendidik? Jika iya, maka dampaknya akan sangat luas bagi dunia pendidikan,” tambahnya.
Dia juga mendorong pemerintah daerah untuk mencari solusi alternatif agar guru honorer tetap bisa mengajar dan sekolah tetap berjalan normal.
“Harus segera cari solusinya,” pungkas Rusdan.
Kekhawatiran juga datang dari para orang tua murid yang khawatir pendidikan anak-anak mereka terganggu akibat kekurangan guru.
Mereka berharap ada kebijakan yang lebih berpihak pada tenaga pendidik dan keberlangsungan pembelajaran.
Masyarakat pun mendesak pemerintah untuk segera bertindak sebelum krisis pendidikan di Jember semakin memburuk.
