PROBOLINGGO – Jalur Tol Probolinggo-Banyuwangi (Probowangi) segmen Gending-Kraksaan resmi difungsikan secara sementara untuk mendukung kelancaran arus lalu lintas selama libur Natal 2024 dan Tahun Baru 2025.
Pembukaan tol fungsional ini ditandai dengan Apel Siaga Natal dan Tahun Baru 2025 yang digelar PT Jasamarga Probolinggo-Banyuwangi (JPB) di Gerbang Tol Kraksaan, Jumat (20/12/2024).
Direktur Utama PT JPB, Adi Prasetyanto, menjelaskan bahwa segmen Gending-Kraksaan akan dibuka mulai Sabtu, 21 Desember hingga 27 Desember 2024.
Sementara arah sebaliknya difungsionalkan dari 28 Desember 2024 hingga 5 Januari 2025.
Jalur ini akan beroperasi setiap hari mulai pukul 06.00 hingga 16.00 WIB.
“Jalur tol sepanjang 13 kilometer ini belum rampung sepenuhnya, tetapi secara fungsional akan difungsikan untuk membantu kelancaran lalu lintas, terutama selama masa libur Natal dan Tahun Baru,” kata Adi.
Ia menambahkan, pembukaan tol fungsional ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi kemacetan di jalan nasional.
Pj Bupati Probolinggo, Ugas Irwanto, mengapresiasi langkah ini sebagai upaya sinergi antara pemerintah daerah, TNI/Polri, dan PT JPB.
“Kami berharap penggunaan tol fungsional ini dapat mengurai kepadatan arus lalu lintas dan mencegah kecelakaan selama masa liburan,” ujar Ugas.
Kapolres Probolinggo, AKBP Wisnu Wardana, memastikan keamanan dan kelancaran di sepanjang jalur tol dengan menyiapkan sekitar 400 personel gabungan dalam Operasi Lilin Semeru 2024.
“Kami sudah bekerjasama dengan Kodim, Jasa Marga, dan Dishub untuk menyediakan pos pengamanan selama 24 jam,” kata AKBP Wisnu.
Pos pengamanan (Pospam) tersebut akan mulai beroperasi dari 21 Desember 2024 hingga 2 Januari 2025, melibatkan personel gabungan dari Polres Probolinggo, TNI, dan dinas terkait.
“Ini adalah upaya kami untuk menjamin keamanan masyarakat yang berlibur di libur Natal dan Tahun Baru,” tambahnya.
Tokoh masyarakat KH Mohammad Hasan Naufal dari Pondok Pesantren Genggong yang turut hadir dalam apel siaga juga menyatakan dukungannya terhadap pembukaan tol fungsional ini.
Langkah sinergis ini diharapkan tidak hanya memperlancar lalu lintas, tetapi juga memberikan rasa aman bagi pengguna jalan selama periode libur panjang.
